Raymond C. “Ray” Bronner, 68, of Cresco, Iowa, died on Sunday, March 25, 2018, at Accura Health Care in Cresco.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2018, with a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home, Cresco, IA, with Pastor Tim Sir presiding.

Raymond Carl Bronner was born October 19, 1949, in Charles City, IA, son of William and Hazel (Ihns) Bronner. Ray attended elementary and high school in Riceville until his senior year when his family moved to Cresco. He graduated with the Crestwood High School class of 1967. Ray went on to earn his license in insurance and real estate, and worked as a self-employed agent. On May 15, 1976, Ray was united in marriage to Patricia Hruska at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Ray was a huge Iowa Hawkeyes football fan. He liked to go tailgating and watch the games with his family and friends. Ray enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren hiking around Dunning Springs or visiting the Decorah Fish Hatchery. Together Ray and Pat traveled to Ireland, Hawaii, the Bahamas, and took bus trips to the National Parks. Ray took pride in a meticulously kept lawn, and pontoon rides with family when living in Lake of the Ozarks.

He is survived by his wife Patricia “Pat” Bronner of Cresco, IA, his sons Scott (Niki) Bronner of West Des Moines, IA, Troy (Tasha) Hart of Cresco, IA, grandchildren Lacey (Dana) Kitchen of Clear Lake, IA, Levi (Jess Hansmeier) Hart of Cresco, IA, his great grandson Winston Kitchen, and grand puppy Bruno, brothers Kenneth (Reta) Bronner of Cresco, IA, Richard (Charlotte) Bronner of La Porte City, IA, Ronald Bronner of Cresco, IA, and Eugene Bronner of Cresco, IA, and many nieces and nephews.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be given on behalf of Raymond Bronner to Howard County Community Hospice or HOCA.
